Generations Clinics
In 1989, evidence of destructive addiction to crack cocaine, paralleled by growing numbers of families touched by AIDS, caused many to recognize the necessity of breaking the cycle of dependency. Under the guidance of the Lexington Center for Recovery, the Generations Clinics were founded in Yonkers and Hartsdale for the care of recovering mothers and their infants born with drug dependency or HIV/AIDs. These clinics offer a one of a kind outpatient program.
Our church has taken a strong leadership role in helping people recover from the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. Over the years our congregants have prepared Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for Generations patients as well as providing requested Christmas gifts for each Generations mother and child. Each year, the church sponsors a "Giving Tree." Paper ornaments decorate the tree, and on each ornament, a child has written his or her Christmas wish. Church members select an ornament, purchase a gift, wrap it and attach the paper ornament to the package. The gift is given to the child at the holiday party.
The Christmas parties at the Generations Clinic include not only delicious food and gifts for mothers and children, but also love, fellowship, healing and hope. It is a wonderful mission which brings some joy tothose for whom the season often brings only frustration.
We invite new members to join us through volunteer assistance, professional staffing and through the financial and material benevolences of our church.

Lexington Center for Recovery
In 1982, responding to the rising tide of alcohol and substance abuse within our community, three members of our church helped found The Weekend Center, an agency to assist individuals and families with healing and recovery. Since then, renamed as The Lexington Center for Recovery, it has brought stability and renewal to thousands of clients who make use of its Mount Kisco facility, now just one of several program sites in Westchester. Our congregation continues to support The Center through our involvement as counselors, childcare workers, Board members, and through the financial support of our Benevolence Program.

Prison Ministry
PCMK is in the process of launching a prison ministry. Possible volunteer opportunities will include visits to incarcerated women who would never otherwise receive prisoners, hosting the children of inmates during special summer visiting programs, and more.
Please check back here for further updates, and contact the church office if you are interested in helping to develop this ministry.
